"Then the door swung open. The girl called Savannah came in, tossing her hair behind her back as she entered, followed by two guards. She looked around scrutinously at all of us, and then nodded to Katelyn. “Her first,” she told the guards. They nodded, and then went over and removed the chain holding Katelyn to the wall. Then they forced her onto her feet and shoved her towards the door. She turned her head and looked back at us with a terrified expression on her face. Noah and Parker looked like they were trying to stand up and get to her, but the chains wouldn’t even allow them to get to their feet. “Where are you taking her?” Parker spoke up. Savannah turned to face him with a small self-satisfied grin on her face. “Oh, nowhere that concerns you,” she said in a falsely reassuring voice. Then she walked over to Parker and bent down so that they were face-to-face. “Why don’t you stay here,” she suggested in a voice that was low and deadly calm, “and reminisce on how perfect your life probably was before you came here to invade us. Because let me assure you, you’ll be missing it more than ever before at the end of this day. Or, if you prefer, you could sit here and look forward to all the fun you and I are going to have later.” Then she straightened up, wearing a smirk on her face, and took her leave, walking briskly and snappily. “Bro,” Noah said to Parker, “that girl is scary.” “What she is,” contradicted Parker, “is full of herself.” But he looked a bit shaken nonetheless."
