If the rest of the year is anything like January, it'll be 2018 before we even have time to blink. Seriously though. Is it just me, or did January go by ridiculously fast?? Anyways... Thursday is now my hopefully-official-day-to-post-on-lè-blog. So we'll see how that goes. I'll also be posting my monthly wrap-ups (*cough* except, of course, for this one) on the last Sunday of each month. (Feel free to hold me accountable, guys.) So without further ado, let's cover the basics of the month... This month I read All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. It is such a beautifully written and amazing book- I don't think I've ever enjoyed a writing style more. The way the story starts and comes together and ends is amazing. I cried when I finished it, simply because of how good it was. 10/10 stars; I definitely recommend reading it. (Find out more on Goodreads.) I also read (well, listened to) P.S.: I still Love You (sequel to To All The Boys I've Loved Before) by Jenny Han. It was good, but I honestly wasn't that impressed. I liked the first book because it didn't involve too much "romantic drama", and I felt like a lot of that was added to the story in book #2. Nevertheless, Lara Jean and Peter remain two of my favorite contemporary characters, and I'll hold out hope for book #3. Still listening to Black Powder War by Naomi Novik...I will finish that book this month if it is the last thing I do. I'm on editing break (yayayay) so no Continuing Forever news... however, I am pleased to announce that I am now a writer for SKG Fun! It's a super-cool e-magazine filled with all sorts of awesome content and topics... This year's theme is "Lit Love", so all you booknerds will be especially excited. The first issue of the year came out at the beginning of January, so head on over to the SKG Fun site to browse around and read the January issue. (It focuses on the Classics and I wrote an article that has to do with Pride and Prejudice... that's all I'm going to say. See for yourself.) Speaking of classics, I listened to a lot of classical music this month...and when I wasn't listening to that, I was listening to Fall Out Boy or the Hamilton soundtrack. Variety is the spice of life, people. Random things that I got into the habit of doing this month:
I cut my hair at the beginning of this month. It is now five inches shorter, and honestly I kind of miss it being really long... but I also really love the new length. It is a lot easier to deal with. (In the pic below, the picture on the left is before and the photo on the right is after.) Also, it snowed! It snowed a lot (a lot for us North Carolinians, anyways) and we were snowed in for a long weekend. It was cold. And it was fun, and I took way too many pictures. I listened to "Non-Stop" from Hamilton...nonstop. A lot. No kidding. I just really love that song. Oh. One of our cats got really sick, but thankfully he seems to have fully recovered. In February, I am looking forward to not having such a busy schedule, as today is the last day of my babysitting job. I also plan to enjoy the last month of my CF break, and maybe actually do some creative freestyle writing. A couple of goals for the month are
How was your January? Did you think it went by too quickly or not quickly enough? What is your main goal for the upcoming month? Have a great day/night, guys. xo, Anna {P.S.- I'm always up for guest posts or collaborations, so if you're interested then comment below or visit the contact page and message me there.}

January went by super quickly for me, too! I'm more than a bit frazzled, tbh.
