Hellooo internet people.
So, my NaNo word count is at just over 10,000 words. Which is behind. Which is not good, not good at all. Honestly, since November started, I've only actually written two times. And considering that it is currently 1:45pm on the ninth of November...I should have already done way more than two writing sessions. But oh well. I'm a little stuck at the moment. I think I've figured out two probable reasons, those being 1.) This is the second book in the series, and it makes sense that writing a sequel would be harder because first of all, you have to make sure that all stated facts in the second book line up with stated facts in the first book. Plus, I want to both live up to and exceed the first book...like, I want firstly to be sure that the second book is at least equal to the first one, but I also really want it to be a lot better. You feel? 2.) My characters. I really like them but I need to spend some time smoothing out their personalities and defining characteristics. That's something that's pretty easy (and kinda fun) to do though. A few helpful articles I've found that focus on characters...
So there we are. Hopefully you guys find those articles helpful if you ever find yourself in a "character crisis".
Best of luck to all of you fellow WriMos! Thanks for reading, Anna
